Mad Max

Logan "war child" Neitzel had a sweet team in the Redbull Soapbox Derby. His car was the 2nd fastest out of thirty some teams. Considering part of the judging consisted of 'spirit' or some shit, we thought Logan had it on lock. Their costumes were amazing, and the girls were hot... They didn't even PLACE. WTF??

Wild Man Tosh

Tosh is a friend from Japan. He's one crazy dude. Shortly after Johan took the plunge, 'ol Tosh couldn't help himself.

When Tosh got out of the pool, shrinkage had taken it's toll. Tosh looked down, stared at his package for a couple seconds and says, "Japanese man have very small penis!"

Busted Camera

No camera = No posts. My old camera just decided to stop working, no reason.

Times are tough around here, and I'm not sure how long it'll be till I can scrape together the dough for a new one. Plus I want a new gun.

The featured pic was one of the last ones fired out of the trusty elph. We were at a pool party in Italy. It was a real mellow, wine and cheese type of deal. Johan decided to liven up the party and all 40 people in attendance were completely appalled. The camera committed suicide shortly after.

Ghetto Commercial

I made this thing a month or so ago - for the Capita movie.

At some point I'm going to do a full claymation (with clay). Maybe re-enact the SFPD posse coming down Norther and hitting Macho Combo.

Swimming the Skykomish River

Decided to do a little fishing Saturday, up by Sultan. Once I got to the spot, I got real excited about the lack of people, and how good the fishing looked. Donning a pair of chest waders, I quickly made my way through the shrubbery to the banks of the Skykomish. After tossing the line a couple times, I ventured into deeper waters. Keep in mind that the river is still very high from the spring run off.... About 8 steps into the water I stepped into a hole, or off a shelf, or something because all of a sudden I was neck deep.

The #1 thing to enter my mind: "Holy f@#K this water is really cold"
The #2 thing to enter my mind: "Why can't I swim in this swift water?"
The #3 thing to enter my mind: "Waders are filling up with water"
The #4 thing to enter my mind: "My camera and wallet are in my pockets!"

I finally made it out, spent about 45 minutes fishing (soaked and freezing), and didn't catch a god damn thing.

Better luck next time.

Mom's 60th B-Day

Really good weekend getaway. I left Seattle Wednesday evening and spent Thursday through Sunday up at Uncle Jim and Aunt Carol's ranch up near the Rawah Wilderness area. I'd never been here, and it's simply amazing. They have about 600 acres that Carol's dad purchased 35 years ago for just over 100k. The place is worth millions and millions now, and it's easy to see why.

The whole mom's side of the family showed up, and we had the best reunion - probably ever. Uncle Jim, Aunt Carol, Joe, Claire, Uncle Don, Aunt Linda, Leslie, Lindsay, Nolan, Juanita (and family), Nolan, Mom, Pop, Kristine, Julia and myself. A great time was had by all. Spending time catching up, riding 4-wheelers, fishing, drinking a lot, eating too much, and etc...

Sunday was a sad morning because nobody wanted the weekend to be over. After a few tears were shed, everybody went on there way. Joe's girlfriend Gina drove me back to civilization and dropped me off at the airport. Got back to Seattle around 10 and now it's back to reality.

Dino vs. Cobra

I've got to figure out what we're going to do for a UNION commercial in the CAPiTA video. I want to do something different than the regular 30 Second riding shots & Logo.

I thought it would be cool to do some sort of claymation of a binding doing something.... Not sure what.... Anyway, I made this stupid little movie in about 20 minutes.

Ballard Bruce

Me & Blue went to the Norwegian Independence Parade in Ballard the other day. The parade started at 6:00 pm and Milo had a teeball game starting at 7pm sharp. We had to leave the parade before it was finished, but still managed to bump into "former BHS marching band guy" Bruce Bannister.

Whidbey Island Camping

Day One:

Drove out to Fort Ebey Saturday morning. Got there around noon, set up camp, did some mountain biking, went fishing, cooked some fish, drank some beers and had some laughs.

Day Two:

Slept in, packed up camp, drove to Deception, did some more fishing, drank some more beers, watched the sun set, drove home. Can't wait to do it again!

I highly suggest camping here. If you want the super dope campsite, sign up for site # 49. It's right at the edge of the bluff, protected from the wind, and totally private. The fishing totally sucks, but Fort Ebey has some of the funnest Mountain Biking I've ever done.

Workin' on the weekend

Drove down to Portland this morning to meet up with the DDC and get some work done on bindings. It's going to be the usual cage match, trying to get to the point where we feel good about all of it. Marty's "fligth" is delayed, so we're heading over to a Grenade BBQ.

Happy Malaria Awareness Day!!!!!

Today is a celebration of the President's PR Department, and their appropriation of funds to help save lives! It's nice to see the White House spend some dough for a good cause. Even though the 5-YEAR ALLOCATION TOTAL is less than what we're spending PER WEEK in Iraq... You can't ever say they "never done no good."

Bush has vowed to wage war on the little flying mosquito terrorists, and you can bet your bottom dollar that he's gonna keep sendin' them mosquito nets till the job is done. Hooraaay!

Here's a clip of President Bush bonding with some people from Africa.

Happy 4/20 Kind Bros!

National Weed Smoking Day. With the Grenade 4/20 games in town, Seattle has been overrun by dirtbag stoner snowboarders. I couldn't be happier at how these guys are keeping it real, and carrying the "torch" of their forefathers. Last night's food fight at the Fox Sports Grill was classic. Time to clock out of here and partake in the festivities.

Mama Lou

Jackie and I came across this chick a couple weeks ago in downtown Seattle. Mama Lou didn't do anything very amazing, but she was funny as hell. If ya ever run into her, hang out and watch the show. Just don't volunteer for any of her stunts because she'll do her best to make you look like a total douche.

RIPPER

Caparella sent me this one today. She works at an ad agency called Wieden and Kennedy. Not sure what she does there, but watching Ban This and capturing this video has something to do with it. Must be fun.

Euro Carving

Man, we used to make soooo much fun of this guy. Stevie Alters started it all in one of Whitey's movies and just snowballed from there. It's too bad that snowboarders today don't have the heckling resources that we did back then.

Who's the Boss?

We need to pull out.
